The location is ideal for walkers, with circular routes directly from the estate. Enjoy scenic walks along the River Thames or head towards Marsh Baldon and Toot Baldon, where you'll find The Mole Inn and The Seven Stars, both delightful village pubs and perfect places to stop for a bite to eat.
Oxford is easily accessible via the nearby Park & Ride, just a 10-minute drive away. There is also a bus stop in Nuneham Courtenay village with direct services into the city. Once in Oxford, you can explore the Westgate Shopping Centre, home to a range of quality shops, bars, and restaurants, including a rooftop dining area. The historic Covered Market is also well worth a visit, offering a vibrant mix of independent shops, cafés, butchers, and greengrocers.
Among the many attractions in Oxford, visitors can enjoy punting on the river, discover locations featured in Morse and other television dramas, visit the University buildings, or explore The Story Museum. Further afield, Blenheim Palace, Bicester Village, the Cotswolds, and Henley-on-Thames are all within easy reach.
Adjacent to the estate is Harcourt Arboretum, which has historic links to the Harcourt family, former owners of the estate. Here you can admire an impressive collection of trees and enjoy a variety of seasonal events throughout the year.
For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Queenford Lake is just a short drive away, offering open-water swimming, watersports, and the popular Wet n Wild attraction during the warmer months. Nearby walking routes also provide access to the stunning scenery of Wittenham Clumps and the Chiltern Hills, ideal for walking, running, and cycling.

Through our concierge service, we can arrange a range of additional experiences, including a private chef, clay shooting, pottery sessions, and special occasion decorations.
Please note that the property is located in a rural area and there is no exterior lighting, so it can be very dark at night. We also kindly ask guests not to arrange food deliveries to the property, as drivers often have difficulty locating us, which has unfortunately caused issues with neighbouring properties. For convenience, we recommend using Click & Collect at the local Sainsbury's for grocery shopping.
